Martin Andrade, PT
Martin grew up in beautiful southern CA, and became a resident of O.C. in 2007. He went to Verdugo Hills HS, lettered in football and graduated with honors. He attended Cal Poly State University, SLO, majoring in Kinesiology, again graduating Cum Laude. He took up running, surfing, playing soccer and tennis, and became more involved in physical fitness while in college. Here is also where he became fascinated with the human body and the amazing feats it could endure and perform, and became passionate about the field of Physical Therapy. He then attended the University of Southern California, earning his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2001.
Martin started his career at Kaiser West L.A., working in the outpatient and inpatient settings. He also attended Joe Godges year-long manual therapy course. He has been very active in the field since then, working predominantly in outpatient orthopedics and sports physical therapy, but he has also worked as a traveling PT, working in TX, FL, MA and OR, realizing that there is no place like home like, So Cal. He returned to outpatient sports physical therapy, but began a new endeavor in Home Health PT, which he finds rewarding, challenging. His passion for orthopedics was overwhelming, thus is now our newest team member at Aquatic Therapy Los Alamitos, eager to incorporate water therapy to his other skills. The progress he sees in his patients is both fulfilling and exciting. He brings a lot of energy and a good sense of humor to help make the therapy significantly beneficial, yet entertaining.
